By way of Seton Hall University’s partnership with Microsoft all of our active customers are able to install (for free) provides the community with free access the full Microsoft Office 365 software suite onto . This software can be installed on both personal and SHU-issued devices.
The MS Office Microsoft 365 software suite includes:
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Outlook (client software)
OneNote
TeamsPublisher
Access
Skype for Business

To access Microsoft 365 apps, you must first install then activate the software on your device(s).

Go to http://www.shu.edu homepage and select link to "PirateNet" in upper right-hand corner. Enter Log into PirateNet using your eight-character username and network password
to log into account.
From the "On your PirateNet Dashboard
" (aka "Okta"), select button for ", search for and select the Microsoft Office 365 Mail

In upper right-hand corner of your mailbox, select your "Avatar" icon and choose "View account"  Image RemovedYour "Avatar" icon will typically be your initials or the custom photo you uploaded that appears when your relay a message. On the left-hand panel, select "Office apps"  Image RemovedOn the "Apps & Devices" screen, select the "Install Office"button. Locate the "OfficeSetup.exe" Click the waffle menu located in the upper left corner. Then, click on the Microsoft 365 icon.  Image AddedYou will be directed to your Microsoft 365 portal. Click the Install and More dropdown menu located in the top right corner. Then, click Install Microsoft 365 apps.
 Image AddedOn the Apps & Devices tile, select Install Office. Locate the OfficeSetup.exe (or similar name) installer that was downloaded and launch it.
If you get prompted asking A window may appear asking you, "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" If so, select
"Yes
".

Based upon your connection speed and amount to install, this process may take a little while.

Launch any of the newly installed
MS Office Microsoft 365 software suite programs.
In this write-up we are using MS Office For example, open Microsoft Word. On the

Please note: Activation of MS Office Microsoft 365 software suite is done so by way of via your SHU-issued mailbox.
You will be prompted periodically to re-activate the software.
When you graduate, if you were to leave the university or end your employment with SHU your mailbox will be disabled. As such you would no longer be able to re-activate the software.
