After filling out the Once your Microsoft Project software request form and your request has been processed, you will receive an email message with a download link and license code via email. Once received, follow the steps below to install the software on your computer.

Please note:
The process outlined below is applicable for installing onto a Microsoft Windows based device.
Note: This installation process is only applicable for Microsoft Windows. MS Project is not available for Apple Macintosh devices.

Install Microsoft Project

  1. Click on the download link provided in the request ticket email to access the download page.

  2. On the MS Project 2019 Downlaod website select Download page, click on the link for Windows Installer → right click and select the option to save/download to download the installer file.
    (If you get a message that the file can’t be downloaded securely to initiate a download of the file. Note: If a message appears indicating that the file cannot be securely downloaded, select the up arrow next to the word Discard and , then select the Keep option “Keep”.)

  3. Once the download is completed, navigate to where you saved the fileyour downloads folder. Then, right click on the file and choose “Extract All”.

  4. A dialog box will appear asking you where where you will be prompted to choose a folder where you would like to save the files to, you may choose the “Extract” button to . You can either browse and choose a new file location or have the files saved to the default folder.
    Extracting of files may take a little bit to complete.. Once your destination is selected, click the Extract button.

  5. Once files have been extracted, right click on the Deploy-Application.EXE and select “Run as administrator”.
    When right clicking the “Deploy-Application.EXE”, please ensure that you choose the program that has the computer and clipboard

  6. You may be prompted to allow an unknown publisher to make changes to your device. Choose Yes to automatically start the installer. Note: If you have any MS Office applications open (i.e. MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, etc) you will be prompted to close them before the installer can proceed.
    Do NOT launch any MS Office applications programs while the installer is running.
    Installation of MS Project 2019 may take a little bit to complete.

  7. Once installation is complete, you will get a prompt indicating that installation was successful.

License Activation of MS Project 2019

  1. Launch MS Project 2019 from the icon in your Start menu - ProgramsSelect the Windows Start icon on your taskbar, then type “Project” in the menu’s search field.

  2. When you launch MS Project 2019 you should :

    1. Activation Wizard Prompt: You may see a

  3. (re)Launch MS Project 2019 from the icon in your Start menu - Programs.

  4. Choose “Account” on the lower left hand side of screen.

  5. In the “Activation Required” screen, choose the “Change Product Key” link.
    Then enter the license code that was provided previously in the original email message and select “Activate Office” button

      1. to activate the software.

If you do not get the activation wizard prompt right away:

    1. Through Account Settings: Click on Account in the lower left navigation.

      1. In the right-side call out box, click Change Product Key.

      2. Enter the license code provided in the email, then select Activate Office to activate the software.
