Seton Hall students, faculty, and staff should use campus as their primary wireless network. Visitors and guests should connect to the SHU-Guest wireless network.

Apple iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch)

  1. From your Home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.

  2. Turn on Wi-Fi. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Tap on “campus”. 

  4. Enter your PirateNet username and password

  5. Accept security certificate

  6. After you join the network, you'll see a blue checkmark next to the network and the connected Wi-Fi icon in the upper corner of your display.

Android

Depending on the version and manufacturer of your Android device, the following steps may look different. 

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen.

  2. Touch and hold Wi-Fi .

  3. Turn on Use Wi-Fi.

  4. Tap 'campus'.

  5. Enter your PirateNet username (followed by @shu.edu on some devices) and password.

  6. After you connect, the network is "Saved." When your phone is near and Wi-Fi is on, your phone automatically connects to this network.

Windows

  1. Select the Network  icon on the taskbar. The icon that appears depends on your current connection state. If you don’t see one of the network icons (or a similar one) shown in the following image, select the Up arrow  to see if it appears there.

  2. Choose campus, then select Connect

  3. Enter your PirateNet username and password, and then select Next.

MacOS

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, then choose campus from the menu.

  2. Enter your PirateNet username and password.

    If you don't see the Wi-Fi icon icon in the menu bar, click the Apple menu > System Settings, then click Wi-Fi. Select Wi-Fi in the side panel, then select Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar.
