Innovation Hub
The new Innovation Hub located within the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center on the ground floor of Walsh Library is a campus-wide destination for hands-on discovery, immersive learning and high-quality content creation. Designed to support academic inquiry and creative exploration across all disciplines, the Hub brings together fabrication tools, XR/AI technologies and production studios, alongside open collaboration spaces and technology consultations rooms. The Innovation Hub includes several dedicated studios; each designed for a different kind of making and problem-solving:
Maker Studio
A practical, interactive space for designing, prototyping, and exploring innovative ideas.
Students, faculty and staff can work with:
3D printing using Bambu Lab H2D Pro printers
Laser engraving with Glowforge Pro HD
Desktop CNC machining (Carvera CNC)
Sublimation printing, vinyl cutting, robotics kits, microcontrollers, and more
Exploration Studio
A dedicated space for extended reality, mixed reality and AI-powered exploration.
Users can engage with:
Meta Quest Pro headsets.
XR learning apps, immersive simulations, and research-focused virtual environments.
Workshops and training on effective XR integrations in courses and projects.
AI-enhanced experiential and transformative tools.
Content Creation Studio
Produce high-quality audio, video and course materials using four new dedicated spaces:
Four-Microphone Podcast Studio
Ideal for group discussions, interviews, and academic podcasting.
One-Button Studio
A frictionless space for fast video creation—press one button and begin recording.
Lightboard Studio
Designed for users who want to walk through diagrams, formulas, and visual concepts while appearing face-to-face on camera.
Production Studio
A full-featured recording environment for produced pieces, interviews, and multimedia projects with the Digital Media Team.
