Who Can Use the Cricut Maker 4?

Cricut Maker 4 access is available to Seton Hall University students, faculty, and staff through the Innovation Hub under the direct supervision of professional staff.

How it Works

Once your design is ready, Cricut Maker 4 guides you through the production process from start to finish.

  1. Prepare Your Design
Open your project in the Cricut Design Space app and confirm the material you plan to use. The software automatically recommends the appropriate cutting settings and tools, helping ensure clean, accurate results.

  2. Load Your Materials
Place your selected material onto the correct cutting mat, making sure it is flat, aligned, and securely adhered. For longer or continuous designs, Smart Materials can be loaded directly into the machine without a mat.

  3. Insert Tools
Install the recommended tool—such as the Fine-Point Blade, pen, or scoring tool—into the appropriate clamp on the machine. Cricut Design Space will prompt you if a tool change is needed during the project.

  4. Load the Mat or Material
Insert the cutting mat or Smart Material into the Cricut Maker 4 and press the load button. The machine will automatically align the material and prepare for precise cutting or drawing.

  5. Start the Project
Press the “Go” button in Cricut Design Space to begin. The machine will cut, draw, score, or engrave your design according to the selected settings, following the digital design exactly.

  6. Unload and Finish
Once the project is complete, unload the mat or material and carefully remove your finished piece. Use a weeder or scraper to clean up fine details, then assemble, apply, or display your project as needed.
