Overview 

The Editing Studio (Room 154D) in the Innovation Hub is a reservable, open-use creative lab designed for video, audio and digital media post-production.

The studio features: 

  • Two Mac Studio workstations 

  • Large wall-mounted review displays 

  • Adobe Creative Cloud software 

  • Professional audio interface (Workstation 1) 

  • Premiere Pro shortcut keyboards 

  • Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouses 

  • Professional Voiceover Microphone 

This space supports: 

  • Video editing 

  • Audio editing and mixing 

  • 3D modeling and rendering 

  • Graphic design 

  • VFX & motion graphics 

The Editing Studio is available to students, faculty and staff. 

Room Availability and Reservations 

Outside Room 154D, a digital Crestron panel displays: 

  • Current date and time 

  • Room status (Available or Reserved) 

  • Upcoming bookings

If the room is available: 

  1. Tap Reserve on the panel. 

  2. Follow on-screen instructions to book the space. 

  3.  

Standard reservation sessions are limited to three hours. Extended sessions may be accommodated when availability permits. 

Before You Begin 

  • Reserve the room in advance. 

  • Bring external storage (USB drive or SSD) if working with large media files. 

  • Log in using your Seton Hall University credentials. 

  • Save all files to cloud storage or external media before leaving. 

Workstation Overview 

The Editing Studio contains two independent workstations. 

 Each includes: 

  • Mac Studio computer 

  • Primary desktop monitor 

  • Large secondary display for review 

  • Headphones


Workstation 1 (Left Station) 

Designed primarily for video and audio production. 

 Features 

  • Dual-display configuration 

  • Studio speakers 

  • Adobe Creative Cloud applications

Adobe Premiere Pro shortcut keyboard 

  • Color-coded keys labeled with Premiere Pro tools and shortcuts 

    • Optimized for professional video editing workflows

Focusrite audio interface 

Allows direct input of XLR microphones or audio devices 

Ideal for: 

Voiceover recording 

  • Podcast post-production 

  • Audio mixing in Adobe Audition 

  • Additional XLR input ports for external microphones or audio equipment

When to Use This Station 

Select this workstation if you need: 

  • Advanced video editing 

  • Advanced VFX & motion graphics 

  • Audio recording through XLR microphones 

  • Direct hardware audio input 

  • Professional Premiere Pro workflow tools 


Workstation 2 (Right Station) 

 Designed as a flexible, general-purpose creative workstation. 

Features 

  • Dual-display configuration 

  • Adobe Creative Cloud applications 

Adobe Premiere Pro shortcut keyboard 

  • Color-coded keys labeled with Premiere Pro tools and shortcuts 

  • Optimized for professional video editing workflows 

When to Use This Station 

  • Advanced video editing 

  • Auxillary rendering workloads 

  • Advanced VFX & motion graphics 

Logging In 

  1. Wake the computer. 

  2. Log in using your University credentials. 

  3. Launch the desired software. 

Installed software includes Adobe Creative Cloud applications and other standard media production tools. 

If additional software is needed, requests may be reviewed by the Innovation Hub team on a case-by-case basis. 

After You Finish 

  1. Close all applications. 

  2. Save and upload your work. 

  3. Log out of the computer. 

  4. Remove all personal storage devices. 

  5. Reset headphones and keyboard area.
