Log into Seton Hall's Blogging Platform

As part of the May 2026 migration to a new hosting platform, the login experience for http://blogs.shu.edu and http://eportfolio.shu.edu has been updated. While the WordPress dashboard and editing experience remain the same, users will notice a new login screen and authentication process.

What Has Changed 

Updated Login Process (SHU Users)

Users with Seton Hall University credentials now log in using PirateNet Single Sign-On (SSO) via Okta.

To log in:

  1. Navigate to your blog or ePortfolio login page as usual by adding /wp-admin to your site URL

  2. Click Sign In with Okta

  3. Enter your PirateNet credentials if prompted

  4. You will be redirected directly into your WordPress dashboard

This replaces the previous WordPress username and password login method for SHU users and provides a more secure and streamlined authentication experience.

New Experience

Non-SHU Users 

Users without SHU credentials (if applicable) may still log in using their existing WordPress username and password via the standard login fields.

What Has Not Changed 

  • Your blog content, pages, and media remain unchanged

  • The WordPress dashboard interface remains the same

  • Editing, publishing, and media management workflows are unchanged

  • Site URLs and access points remain the same
