Add Labster Simulations to your Canvas Course

  1. Navigate to PirateNet and click on the Canvas app.

  2. Navigate to the course in your Canvas account where you want to add content.

  3. Click on the Assignments section in the left navigation pane and click +Assignment.

  4. Enter the name of the assignment.

  5. Enter the number of possible points for the simulation.

  6. Under Submission type, select External Tool.

  7. Click Find.

  8. Choose Labster from thepreconfigured tools list, then click on the Select button.

  1. Canvas course, where you can browse our entire catalog (including all the supplementary resources)

Once you find the simulation you wish to add to your course, simply click on the +Add button and the simulation will appear in your course.

Close the window and refresh your page to see the simulation

After you have added the simulation, you will be able to use Blackboard settings to set up everything else for your Labster assignment (Simulation points, Due Date, Launch container, Visibility to students, etc.)

Labster Dashboard

·       You can also add Labster Dashboard to your course to be able to follow your students' progress more closely.

·       You will be adding Labster Dashboard through the Build Content feature following the same guidelines from above.

  1. . There are two ways to search for simulations.

    1. Use the search bar on the top right of the page to find a simulation, unit, or course by entering keywords.

    2. Apply filters to refine your search. Select 'Discipline' or 'Education Level' and choose the options that match your criteria.

  2. Once you find the simulation, click Add simulation. Then click the Select button.
