Labster allows students to complete virtual laboratory experiments, exploring concepts online. Virtual labs are simulated learning environments that allow students to complete laboratory experiments online and explore concepts and theories without stepping into a physical science lab.
Add Labster Simulations to your Canvas Course
Navigate to PirateNet and click on the Canvas app.
Navigate to the course in your Canvas account where you want to add content.
Click on the Assignments section in the left navigation pane and click +Assignment.
Enter the name of the assignment.
Enter the number of possible points for the simulation.
Under Submission type, select External Tool.
Click Find.
Choose Labster from the preconfigured tools list, then click on the Select button.
A pop-up window will appear within your Canvas course, where you can browse our entire catalog (including all the supplementary resources). There are two ways to search for simulations.
Use the search bar on the top right of the page to find a simulation, unit, or course by entering keywords.
Apply filters to refine your search. Select 'Discipline' or 'Education Level' and choose the options that match your criteria.
Once you find the simulation, click Add simulation. Then click the Select button.
