You can use Inbox rules to automatically forward or redirect messages sent to your mailbox to another account.

Faculty and staff are not permitted to create email forwarding rules to external accounts as per the University Business Technology Policy.

Redirect all messages to another account automatically

Messages that are redirected will appear to come from the original sender. When you reply to a message that has been redirected, the reply will be sent to the original sender.

  1. In Outlook Web App, click Settings > View All Outlook Settings > Mail > Rules.

  2. Click + Add new rule

  3. Name your rule

  4. Under Add a condition, select Apply to all messages

  5. Under Add an action, select Redirect to and enter the address you want your Seton Hall mail redirected to.

  6. Click Save

Forward all messages to another account automatically

Messages that are forwarded will appear to be forwarded from you. When you reply to a message that has been forwarded, the reply will be sent to the address the message was forwarded from, not to the original sender.

  1. In Outlook Web App, click Settings > View All Outlook Settings > Mail > Rules.

  2. Click + Add new rule

  3. Name your rule

  4. Under Add a condition, select Apply to all messages

  5. Under Add an action, select Forward to and enter the address you want your Seton Hall mail forwarded to.

  6. Click Save
