Install Adobe Fonts via Creative Cloud
Typography is a key element of our brand voice, playing a significant role in how our messages are received and perceived. Our communications rely on two typefaces, Franklin Gothic URW and Geller, which work together to bring our brand story to life. Both fonts are available through Adobe Creative Cloud, and this guide will walk you through the steps to activate them.
Prerequisites
Before installing the fonts, ensure you have the following:
An Adobe Creative Campus Account: If you don’t have an account, refer to the Register for Access to Adobe Creative Campus article.
Adobe Creative Cloud Installed: If Adobe Creative Cloud is not installed, follow the steps in the How to Download and Install Apps From Adobe Creative Cloud guide.
How to Install Franklin Gothic URW and Geller Fonts
Navigate to Adobe Fonts and sign in using your PirateNet credentials.
Locate the Fonts
For Franklin Gothic URW, visit Franklin Gothic URW at Adobe Fonts.
For Geller, visit Geller at Adobe Fonts.
Click on the font family (Franklin Gothic URW or Geller).
Press the Add Fonts or Add Family button next to the styles you need. Activation applies the font across all your Adobe applications.
To add the fonts third party apps like the Microsoft Office Suite, open the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
Navigate to Fonts in the top right corner.
Click Install Family to install the font family on your computer, making it available for use in non-Adobe applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
Confirmation
After completing the steps:
Open any Adobe or Microsoft application.
Verify that Franklin Gothic URW and Geller appear in the font list.
Usage Guidelines
Franklin Gothic URW: Our primary typeface used for headlines, subheads, callouts, and body copy. It is versatile and ensures legibility across all sizes.
Geller: This serif family serves as our secondary typeface, ideal for more sophisticated contexts. It is typically chosen for subheads and body copy, offering elegance and personality.
