cYour ID card (or PirateNet login) is required to release documents at any student printer on the IHS campus, ensuring your documents stay private and secure. The South Orange campus uses a different file and guide. South Orange Student Printer Installation
Windows Installation
Download the install file
Go to your download folder and double click on the IHSBluePrintStudentWIN.exe
A security popup window will appear, asking if you would like to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device, click yes.
The Package installer window will appear called “IHS_BluePrint_Students”. Click install. This will take a few minutes. Once the install has completed, click finish.
MacOS Installation
Download the install file
Go to the Finder, locate the download folder and double click on the IHSBluePrintStudent.dmg file that was saved to your machine.
This will then attach an installer drive to your machine called IHSBluePrintStudent. Within the IHSBluePrintStudent installer drive, double click on the Popup.pkg file to launch the setup wizard. When the installation wizard appears follow the prompts and proceed with the installation using the default settings. During the installation when prompted to input a username/password use the local computer username and password; not your PirateNet username/password.
In the same folder, double click on the Xerox Drivers.pkg file to launch driver installer. Follow the prompts and proceed with the installation using the default settings. When prompted to input a username/password use the local computer username and password.
Please note: during the install you may see a "The package was signed with a certificate that has expired ..." alert. If so, please select "Continue"
Restart your computer to complete installation of new printer.
Release Print Job
Send your print job to the BluePrint Student printer and when prompted enter your SHU username.
Go to the device you want to print your job from. Student Printer Locations
At the printer you can swipe your ID card or manually enter your PirateNet credentials on the LCD screen.
On the LCD screen you will see a list of the print jobs you have sent to BluePrint. Select your print job(s) and release them.
Your print jobs will not be output to any printer until you release them from the BluPrint queue. Print jobs remain in the BluePrint queue for 24 hours.
Please note: The first time you swipe your ID card to access the BluePrint system you will be prompted to register your card by entering your username and password on the LCD screen.
