Upon completion of access being granted to Amazon WorkSpaces an automated enrollment email message will be sent outlining how to initially setup the client software and the default credentials.

  1. During initial setup process software, you will be asked to enter the registration code that was provided in the WorkSpaces welcome email.

  2. A window will prompt you to enter your username, password and a "MFA Code".
Username will be your eight letter SHU-issued username
Password will be your SHU password
Your MFA Code may be generated in several differing ways by of the following commands:

  3. If prompted with a WorkSpace Status: Resuming screen please select the option of Continue to Login.
This would indicate that your virtual machine is in the process of rebooting itself and is currently unavailable.  Please allow between 5-15 minutes for this reboot process to complete and attempt to sign in again.

  4. During the first usage of the software you may get prompted with a firewall message.  Please choose the Allow access option.
