Borrow a Loaner Laptop or Laptop Accessories
The Division of Information Technology offers a limited number of loaner laptops and accessories for short-term use by eligible students, faculty and administrators.
Borrow a Loaner Laptop
Eligible users may borrow a University-issued loaner laptop by visiting the Asset Management Office in Corrigan Hall, Room 27.
Eligibility
Students actively enrolled in the University Mobile Computing Program
Faculty and administrators with an active University network account
Loan Period
Up to 8 hours
Loaner laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis
Important Information
Loaner laptops are configured as general-use devices. Do not save files directly to the laptop.
When the laptop is returned, it is restored to its default configuration. Any files, settings or other data stored on the device will be permanently removed.
If you need to save your work, store it in one of the following locations:
Microsoft OneDrive
A USB flash drive or other external storage device
Another approved cloud storage service

Eligible users may borrow a University-issued loaner laptop by visiting the Asset Management Office in Corrigan Hall, Room 27.

Lenovo power adapter and power cord
VGA adapter (dongle)
To borrow an accessory, bring the following to the Asset Management Office:
Your University-issued laptop
Your SHU ID card
Loan Period
Borrowed accessories must be returned within one business day. Charges may be assessed to the individual or department for late or unreturned equipment.
