Newark Law School Student Printer Installation

1. Click to open the LAWBlueprintSTU zip file.

2. Click the Download icon in the upper left-hand corner.

3. Once the download is completed, double-click to open the file from your downloads folder.

4. Click the Extract All button, then choose a folder location for the extracted files.

If you already have the BluePrint - Black and White printer install on your computer, double click Cleaner.exe to remove the old printer first.

Restart your computer after running Cleaner.exe.

5. Double click Install_Printer.bat file and follow the instructions to install the printer driver.
   
   

For printing color pages in Word:

1. Select File, choose Print, select the BluePrint Students printer and then click Printer Properties.

2. Under the Xerox Printing Options section click the drop down menu and set it to “Off (Use Document Color).

For printing color pages in Chrome:

1. Select Print, select the BluePrint Students printer as Destination, and then click More settings.

2. Scroll down and click the Print using system dialog section. Choose More settings, under the Xerox Printing Options.

3. In the Xerox Black and White section, click the drop down menu and set it to “Off (Use Document Color).

Print a Test Document:

1. Print a one-page document, selecting the BluePrint Students printer as your print destination.

2. Confirm the print job in the print queue via the Pharos Sentry Print icon.

3. Release your print job at a Rodino Center copier by swiping your Student ID, scanning the QR code, or entering the passcode provided on the Passcode Authentication window during configuration.

B. If have previously installed an earlier version of the Print Scout software for Mac OS you may need to un-install the older software first.

• Download the install file.

• Go to the Finder, locate the download folder and double click on LAWMacPrintScoutInstaller.dmg
  Within the LAWMacPrintScoutInstaller.dmg installer drive there will be three folders.
  You must install them in sequence and one at a time.

• Select the 1. Install Print Scout folder and open the MacPrintScoutInstaller.pkg file to launch the setup wizard.
  
  If you see an alert message stating “…can’t be opened because Apple cannot check …“:
  1. Close alert screen.
  2. Select the Apple menu → System Preferences.
  3. Select the entry for Security & Privacy.
  4. On the General tab, at the bottom, there will be a message stating “… was blocked from use because …”. Select the “Open Anyway” button
  5. Re-run the MacPrintScoutInstaller.pkg installer.
  
  Follow the prompts and proceed with the installation using the default settings.  When prompted to input a username/password use the local computer username and password.
  
  During installation a “Registering printer” screen will appear, after completing registration to Seton Hall University you may close dialog box.

Print a Test Document:
