Compass

Seton Hall Compass helps students navigate their academic endeavors. Developed by the Education Advisory Board (EAB) and accessible through PirateNet, the platform provides faculty, advisers, tutors, and program directors with a convenient way to support students.

View Your Course Information

Faculty and students can check their class information via Compass. Class information includes your course name, days, times and location where your class meets.

  1. Log into PirateNet using your Seton Hall credentials.

  2. Search for and click on the Compass app.
    Note, you may need to reauthenticate using your PirateNet login credentials once you click on the app.

  3. Faculty and students' homepage view will default to the Courses tab.

    • Users who have more than one role at the University will need to select their professor or student homepage from the dropdown menu to display their course information.

  4. Select the term for which you would like to view your class information.

  5. Your class(es) information will display in the results list.

Classroom Code Abbreviations

  • AC: Art Center

  • AS: Arts & Sciences Hall

  • CH: Corrigan Hall

  • DH: Duffy Hall

  • FH: Fahy Hall

  • IHS: Inter-Professional Health Building (Nutley)

  • JH: Jubilee Hall

  • MH: Mooney Hall

  • SC: McNulty Hall

  • SH: Muscarelle Hall

  • ST: Alfieri Hall

Email Your Professor or Advisor

Click on the “Send a Message” tab to communicate with your professors or advisor. Check the
box(es) next to the name(s), click on the “Actions” drop-down arrow, and click “Send Message.”

  1. Scroll down on your student homepage to locate Your Success Team on the right-hand side.

  2. Click the envelope icon under your professor or advisor to initiate a message.

  3. Draft your subject line, message and add attachments. Then, click Send Message.
