Honorlock is a browser-based online exam proctoring tool. Once you install the Chrome extension to your Seton Hall computer, you get the protection and ease of simply logging into your Canvas course and getting started. Honorlock does not work with iPads or in any browser other than Google Chrome.
You’ll start by scanning the room with your webcam to ensure that no one else is present and that you’re not using any external resources. You will need to verify your identity by taking a picture of both yourself and your photo ID with your webcam. The authentication process allows you to quickly begin your proctored exam.
Honorlock is available 24/7, and all that is required is a computer, a working webcam/microphone, your ID, and a stable Internet connection. Before you begin, you will need to download Google Chrome and have the Honorlock extension installed to take your exam.
If not already installed, download Chrome.
If not already installed, download the Honorlock extension for Chrome.
Within Canvas, find your respective course, locate and launch the Honorlock LTI. You will be directed to the Honorlock Launch Page, which will assist with tracking your overall exam progress, and provide you with instructions required for each step.
