Manage Teams Recording Permissions
Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded to capture audio, video, and screen sharing activity. The recording happens in the cloud, and it is saved so you can share it securely across your organization. All meeting recordings will be saved to OneDrive (non-channel meetings) and SharePoint (channel meetings).
Note: Only the organizer of the meeting and the person who started the recording will be able to edit the recording. But everyone invited to the meeting will be able to view the recording.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the recording is processed and made available to all meeting attendees in the chat. Users are able to view and share the recording.
In order to manage the recording permissions, locate the recording, click on the three dots and select Open.
A new link will open in your internet browser.
To share the meeting with additional users or to adjust the sharing permissions, click the Share button in the top-left hand corner.
To edit or remove permissions altogether, click the three-dot More options button.
Select Manage Access
To stop sharing this recording altogether, select the Stop sharing link. Removing sharing access will delete links giving access to this item and remove all people with direct access except for owners.
To edit permissions for individual users, guests, or team members, select the pencil icon next to the corresponding user or audience.
Now you may choose to allow this user to either edit the recording and make changes, view the recording, or remove access altogether.
