Checking for Updates
Upon first launch, Stata will prompt you to check for updates. We recommend clicking Check for updates now and then OK to ensure you have the latest version.
StataCorp frequently releases updates, including new features and bug fixes.
By default, automatic update checking is enabled. Stata will notify you when updates are available but will not install them without your permission.
If you disable automatic updates, manually check for updates periodically to keep your Stata version up to date.
