Stata

Stata is a statistical package that is designed for researchers and is used in the fields of economics, sociology, political science, biomedicine and epidemiology.

To request a new or renew an expired Stata license for installation on your University-issued laptop, please complete the Software Request Form. You will need to provide the following information: Username and Computer Serial Number (university issued laptop or enter "non-SHU Laptop") and students will be asked to enter the Course ID and Faculty member’s name for the course that Stata is required.

Once you submit the form you will receive an email that the request ticket has been opened.

You will receive an additional email with a link to the software installation file and the license authorization code.
